Beaches and baby elephants—Pasikudah, Kalkudah, and an ‘ethical review’ of Pinnawala | Pledge Holidays Travel Blog

BEACHES AND BABY ELEPHANTS—PASIKUDAH, KALKUDAH, AND AN ‘ETHICAL REVIEW’ OF PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE Australian travel blogger Stef at Mel365 has a passion for photography that takes him round the world, and this time its two of Sri Lanka’s top east-coast beaches—Pasikudah and Kalkudah. His travels also took him to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage after the Sri Lankan tourism board asked him to write an ethical review, warts and all. It was a timely assignment, as the issue of elephant tourism is attracting increasing attention around the world, much of it negative do to its exploitative nature. #SriLanka #Pasikudah #Kalkudah #PinnawalaElephantOrphanage
