GROUP FROM JAPAN VISITS MAGNIFICENT MAHAMEVNAWA BUDDHIST TEMPLE MANSION IN SRI LANKA A group of 12 retired Japanese schoolteachers and university professors recently visited the spectacular Siri Gauthama Sambuddha Raja Maligawa temple mansion, part of the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery organization in Sri Lanka. The group was able to speak with a Japanese monk who was recently initiated into Sri Lanka’s Buddhist priesthood, before enjoying a conducted tour of the site, which lies in the hills at Polgahawela, between Negombo and Kandy.
